The Marvel UK powerhouse
Geoff Senior is the artist many British fans name without hesitation when asked who drew the definitive Transformers. A mainstay of Marvel UK through the 1980s, he formed one of the most important partnerships in the franchise with writer Simon Furman, who has repeatedly called Senior his favourite collaborator on the title.
His reputation rests on the big Furman epics. Senior drew landmark Marvel UK stories including Target: 2006 and the sprawling finale Time Wars, work that gave the robots a sense of mass and momentum few artists have matched.
Weight on the page
What sets his pages apart is weight. A Senior robot lands like it has real tonnage behind it, and his action reads with a clarity that makes the emotional beats hit harder. When IDW revived the Marvel continuity decades later as Regeneration One, Senior returned to provide covers, closing a loop he had helped open.

Collecting his originals
His Transformers originals rarely surface on the open market, which keeps even interior pages tightly held.
Legacy
Ask a room of long-time fans to name the best and Geoff Senior's name comes up first more often than anyone's. The weight he gave these characters became the standard the Marvel era is measured by.
