Last Stand of the Wreckers
Nick Roche is the writer-artist whose work carries more personality per panel than almost anyone in the franchise. The Irish creator made his name with Last Stand of the Wreckers in 2010, which he co-wrote and drew, a story widely regarded as one of the finest the brand has produced.
Comedy and heart
His line has an animated quality, loose and lively, and his real superpower is acting: a Roche robot can land a joke and break your heart on the same page. He carried that through Spotlight issues, Sins of the Wreckers, and a long run of covers across the IDW era.

Collecting his originals
Leaning toward his expressive cover art. His pages do not surface often, which suits an artist whose fans hold tight.
Legacy
Roche proved a Transformers comic could be genuinely funny and genuinely moving at once. As a writer-artist he is one of a kind in the franchise.
