Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment have posted the preview for Transformers #35, the next chapter of the ongoing Energon Universe series. The issue is scheduled to reach comic shops on August 12, 2026 at a cover price of $3.99 US.
Per the official solicitation, the issue follows Wheeljack as he toils away on secret projects in his secret lab in the Cybertron Shard, unaware of the utter chaos unfolding as the remaining Autobots defend against an all-out assault from the Decepticons.
The creative team is writer Robert Kirkman with art by Jason Howard and colors by Mike Spicer, the same team carrying the current arc. The featured Cover A is by David Nakayama and depicts Wheeljack in his G1-inspired white, green and red deco. Image lists the issue with several variant covers as well, including a Cover B by Mike Spicer and Daniel Warren Johnson, a Cover C by Annalisa Leoni and Jason Howard, a Cover D by Matteo Vattani and Michele Rubini, and a Cover E by Hicham Habchi.
Transformers #35 continues the Energon Universe run that Skybound has been building since 2023, the same line whose sales milestone we covered earlier. For the full run and where the ongoing sits, see our comics hub.
