The Studio Series 86 Voyager Class Cyclonus has reached a store shelf for the first time, and it happened in Australia. TFW2005 reported on July 28, 2026 that a 2005 Boards member found the figure at an EB Games store in Capalaba Central, Queensland, calling it the first world sighting of the Wave 32 assortment. His wave partner, the Studio Series Age of Extinction Optimus Prime, was reported alongside him.
Hours later the same site published the first in-hand images of the figure, sourced from a Reddit user, including side-by-side comparisons against the 2021 Kingdom Cyclonus mold the new release is built from. Per that coverage the Studio Series version is the taller of the two, the legs are largely new tooling and transform differently with the backs of the thighs now flapping to the side, while the rear of the thrusters reads as less finished than on the Kingdom figure.
Note that the in-hand photos are fan-shot images published by TFW2005 rather than press material, so the images on this page are Hasbro’s official product shots.

What Hasbro announced, and what retail is doing
Cyclonus was revealed on April 23, 2026 and given official images the following day, in a trio with Deluxe Class Cliffjumper and Leader Class Blitzwing. Hasbro’s reveal materials put Cyclonus at $42.99 with a Fall 2026 release window, converting from robot to Cybertronian jet mode with an attachable blaster accessory. Product copy carried on retail listings puts the conversion at 28 steps. Preorders opened on April 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. ET through Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.
That is where the gap sits. BigBadToyStore currently lists the figure as a preorder estimated to arrive in October 2026, so the Australian sighting puts physical stock in a store roughly two months ahead of the North American estimate. Early overseas retail arrivals are not unusual for Studio Series waves, and they normally precede sightings elsewhere by weeks rather than confirming a moved date. Hasbro has not revised the announced window.
Worth flagging for accuracy: Hasbro’s own reveal copy lists Cyclonus at 6.5 inches, while the product description carried on some retail listings says 8 inches. The two figures have not been reconciled by Hasbro, so treat the height as unsettled until the packaging is documented.
Why this one matters to 1986 collectors
Cyclonus is one of the characters introduced in The Transformers: The Movie, and this release lands in the same year Hasbro is running its 40th anniversary programme around that film. The Studio Series 86 line has been steadily working through the movie’s cast, and Cyclonus fills a slot that has otherwise been served by the Kingdom figure since 2021. For background on the character and his role in the film, see our Cyclonus profile; for the wider assortment, see the Studio Series toy line index.
Collectors outside Australia should expect the wave to surface at other retailers in the coming weeks. Anyone holding a preorder has no action to take; the sighting does not change preorder terms.
