The Matrix of Leadership is already jewellery. It has a gold housing and a blue core, it rides in Optimus Prime’s chest, and what it mostly does in the story is change hands: somebody holds it up and somebody else takes it. So a company better known for wands, chess sets and bookends could look at the Transformers licence and reasonably decide that the most wearable thing in it is not a robot.

The Noble Collection went up with four officially licensed Transformers pieces today, written up by TFW2005 at 1:07 in the afternoon Eastern. Three are bracelets at $39.99 each, the fourth is a seven inch Optimus Prime diorama at $35.00, and all four sit on Noble’s own store rather than anybody else’s.

The Optimus Prime bracelet is braided leather, with a silver bead of his face set into the band and an adjustable chain. An Energon axe swings off the extension, three quarters of an inch of it, so the charm sits past the wrist rather than on it. The Decepticons bracelet is braided leatherette, with a silver chain woven down the centre and a purple shield on the front, and it closes with a slide lock rather than a clasp. The Matrix bracelet is the odd one out and the best of the three: hematite beads, a half inch charm in silver and gold, and a blue stone set into the middle of it. All three are listed at about seven and a half inches around [1], all three are rated 14 and up, and all three arrive in a black presentation box with TRANSFORMERS and MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE debossed into the lid.

Then there is the diorama. Optimus stands seven inches on a slab of orange Cybertronian plating, a lump of translucent amber rock behind him, rifle in one hand and the other arm cocked back. Noble has sculpted him in the cartoon colours rather than the toy ones, with the flat blue window eyes and the yellow grille; the red and blue are laid down in high gloss and the smokestacks and grille are picked out in silver.

Lift him off and there is a second Matrix set into the base, silver and gold housing, blue core, sitting in the recess his feet cover. The Matrix in the 1986 film is defined by Optimus letting go of it, and Noble has built a base that will not show us the thing until he is out of the way!

The acrylic cover clips into four black corner posts and lifts away entirely, so the piece runs as a closed case or as an open base. The card behind the base is a city street drawn as comic art rather than photographed, and the amber rock sits in front of it as the foreground. His name sits on the front lip in white, with the Cybertronix glyphs spelling it out underneath, and the box front carries a red MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE roundel with the Autobot sigil inside it.

What you can actually buy today

The three bracelets all read In Stock on Noble’s own product pages, read late this afternoon Eastern: Optimus Prime, Matrix of Leadership and Decepticons, $39.99 each.

The diorama is the one to read carefully. Its page says Order today, and directly underneath that, Ships on Oct 31, 2026, so we are looking at a pre-order. TFW2005’s write-up says all four are already available, and that holds for three of them and runs about six weeks early on the fourth. By the standards of this hobby that is nothing, but it is worth knowing before the diorama goes into a basket beside three bracelets that are on the shelf.

Neither of the two shelves we would normally send you to has it. BigBadToyStore’s catalogue carries seven Noble Collection products and not one of them is Transformers [2]; Entertainment Earth’s search returns no Noble Collection Transformers product either. Both were read this afternoon.

The Transformers: The Movie went back into cinemas today for its fortieth anniversary and runs through 22 September, and Hasbro has built Transformers Day around Peter Cullen and the character that film is remembered for killing. Somewhere in the middle of it the Matrix changes hands. The shop selling that as a bracelet opened the same afternoon.

[1] The specification tables and the marketing copy do not agree. Every product page bullet says approximately 7.5 inches in circumference, while the spec table beneath it gives the Optimus Prime band a Length of 7 and the Decepticons band a Length of 8. The two are measuring different things, and Noble does not say which is which; take the 7.5 as the one that describes a wrist.

[2] For the record, since it is the sort of thing that changes: BBTS’s seven are three BendyFigs bendable figures, two replicas, a statue and a bookend, spread across DC, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Nickelodeon. Noble’s own item numbers are worth having if you go chasing the Transformers range on another shelf later, since they travel with the product: JCB HA 1636, 1637 and 1638 for the three bracelets, TOY HA 1633 for the diorama.
