The story
Fleeing a dying Cybertron, the Ark crashes into an Earth volcano and lies dormant for four million years until an eruption reboots its computer, which rebuilds Autobots and Decepticons as Earth vehicles. Buster Witwicky takes a damaged Bumblebee home and discovers the car can talk.
Why this issue matters
The first Transformers fiction ever published, and the issue that established the Marvel continuity the entire franchise mythology grew out of.
