Takara Tomy’s Masterpiece G line is giving the Autobots their own cassette commander. MPG-25 Blaster and Steeljaw, together with the companion cassette two-pack MPG-24 Eject and Ramhorn, opened for import preorder at Western retailers on July 8. BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth list MPG-25 at about $174.99 with an estimated April 2027 ship date, while MPG-24 comes in around $59.99 with a March 2027 estimate.

One naming detail collectors will notice right away: the import listing uses Broadcast, the character’s original Takara name in Japan, rather than the Hasbro name Blaster. The set is the Autobot answer to the pattern Soundwave established on the Decepticon side. Broadcast converts from robot to radio-cassette recorder mode, and Steeljaw converts from cassette tape to lion mode. A switch on the abdomen opens the chest, which stores Steeljaw in cassette mode plus one additional cassette figure sold separately.
The accessory loadout is deep: Broadcast’s Electro-Scrambler blaster, Steeljaw’s left and right solar-power pellet blasters, two megaphones, two sound wave effect parts, a monitor panel, and a barrier case for cassette storage. There is also a swappable smiling head inspired by The Transformers: The Movie. As a Japanese import, the set ships in original Takara packaging with Japanese-language instructions and a character card.

MPG-24 Eject and Ramhorn starts filling the tape deck. Eject transforms from cassette to robot in a blue and white deco with a yellow blaster, while Ramhorn converts from cassette to a stocky, triple-horned rhino mode. Both sets were first shown at Takara Tomy’s Shizuoka Hobby Show booth in May, and the same import wave also brings New Legends NL-05 Beast Wars II Galvatron to Western preorder.
