Hasbro has confirmed that the original Generation 1 cartoon is becoming a formal subline within Transformers Studio Series. The confirmation came from Hasbro’s Nate Purswell in an Instagram video posted on July 10, 2026, alongside the same-day reveal of the Studio Series Generation 1 Seeker Storm Pack, the line’s first Made To Order set.

Purswell said the goal of the G1 cartoon subline is to produce definitive versions of these characters that are true to the source material in both content and scale. It makes official the “Studio Series 84” reading that had circulated after the Seeker Storm Pack’s product copy described the set as bringing the G1 cartoon into Studio Series for the first time. Purswell noted the question had been raised at the 2025 Studio Series Fanstream, when fans first asked whether the G1 cartoon would get its own dedicated treatment.

He was clear that G1 will not take over the line. Studio Series will keep covering a wide variety of characters across live action, animation, and the 1986 animated movie continuity, and other shows could join the line in addition to G1. Beast Wars, Transformers Prime, and Transformers Animated were named as examples fans had asked about.

On specifics, Purswell confirmed that Coneheads are coming, though he did not say when or through which retailer. More Seekers are planned using the Storm Pack mold, with Red Wing named as a candidate. There are no plans to sell the four Storm Pack Seekers individually for now; individual releases could follow after 2029 but are considered unlikely because Hasbro wants to keep the set special. A Dreamwave-style Sunstorm is not planned through at least 2028. Purswell added that the 2028 Studio Series lineup is mostly finalized, and that the Seeker Storm Pack is a global item with orders opening in other markets.

The Seeker Storm Pack itself remains a Hasbro Pulse exclusive during its 45 day Made To Order window, which closes on August 24, 2026. The four Voyager Class Seekers in that set, Ion Storm, Acid Storm, Nova Storm, and Sunstorm, are designed to line up with the existing Studio Series Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp molds.
