New York Comic Con runs Thursday October 8 to Sunday October 11 at the Javits Center, and Hasbro’s only Transformers toy session is the first one on the calendar: the Hasbro Toy Panel, Action Brands, Thursday from 7:15 to 8:00 PM in North-Room 406.1. The show’s own listing gives it a single line, “Catch the latest from Transformers and new additions to the G.I. Joe Classified Series”, and names nobody who will be on stage. Hasbro has published no reveal list.

Before anyone buys a Sunday badge on the strength of a schedule they read in August, one correction. The listing that went round the fan sites in late summer, and that we carried in our own notes, put a Hasbro action brands panel on Sunday October 11 at 11:00 AM in North-Room 406.3. The room and the hour are right. The panel in that slot is Hasbro’s Star Wars and Marvel session, covering the Black Series, the Vintage Collection and Marvel Legends. We read all four days of the official full schedule this afternoon.[1] There is one Action Brands panel at this show, and nothing else on the schedule carries a Transformers toy reveal.

Every Transformers session at this convention therefore finishes before the weekend proper begins. NYCC is not hiding that; it brands the day Premiere Thursday and sells it on this, promising on its own Thursday schedule page that “The biggest reveals of the weekend land before most people have unpacked.” But the show is selling a badge there, and a fan who bought Saturday only will be reading what happened in 406.1 rather than sitting in it.

Skybound takes the other two

The comics side of the brand gets the rest of the weekend, and it gets two rooms to do it in.

Friday at 4:00 PM, in North-Room 406.3, is Skybound Comics: Vision for the Future, a new-slate panel spanning Transformers, Invincible and Universal Monsters, with Stephen Graham Jones, Leandro Fernandez and Tate Brombal among the guests. Transformers is named in the blurb and G.I. Joe is not, so Friday is the publisher’s wider slate with a Transformers seat at it rather than an Energon Universe session.

The Energon Universe session is Saturday at 11:15 AM, in North-Room 406.2, under a title the show prints in capitals: TRANSFORMERS & G.I. JOE: WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE ENERGON UNIVERSE? Robert Kirkman is on it for Void Rivals and Transformers, Jason Howard for Transformers, Tom Reilly for G.I. Joe, Dan Watters for M.A.S.K. and Conor Hughes for Void Rivals, and the listing opens on “THE ENERGON UNIVERSE IN CHAOS!” The first issue of Transformers went back for a fifteenth printing in September.

What Thursday is actually for

Hasbro’s next Generations line has been assembled in fan listing threads since the spring, under more than one name, and none of it is confirmed. Whatever gets read out in room 406.1 that evening is the first version anybody at Hasbro has to stand behind.

The current Generations shelf is Age of the Primes, which has spent 2026 working through the Aerialbots, the Combaticons and the Thirteen, and its largest release this year is the Titan Class Star Optimus Prime. Hasbro’s own product copy puts him at fifteen inches across three modes, robot, truck and battle station, and packs him with a Micromaster Autobot Hot Rod, an MT-13 Microtrailer, a tread unit and a swivel turret that becomes a blaster; he is in stock at BigBadToyStore this afternoon at $149.99, with the add to cart control live.

On the film side the schedule is empty, two days after the crossover picture was reported out of development; our standing tracker there is the next Transformers movie hub. The comparison that puts this weekend in proportion is the one we covered in July: at San Diego, Hasbro’s Transformers panel came with two booth exclusives on sale and a concert for the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie. New York is forty-five minutes on the opening night, and no exclusive that anyone has announced.

Updates through the weekend are collected in the NYCC 2026 guide.
