Blokees’ written contents list for Champion Class CC28 Optimus Prime leaves out two of the parts in Blokees’ own contents photograph.

The kit opened for preorder at BigBadToyStore this morning as item 200316, priced $27.99 and estimated to arrive in November 2026. The cart control is live and sits under a PRE-ORDER badge, read first hand at lunchtime. The same store now carries the companion Starscream set we wrote up on 16 October, listed as CC29 Starscream and H.I.S.S. Tank at the same price and the same November window. On 16 October that store carried neither kit, and a search for them came back empty.

Blokees’ own specification for the kit reads: 123 pieces, 5.71 inches or 14.5cm finished, ABS, more than twenty points of articulation, light-up eyes and tool-free assembly, with the design taken from the Skybound comics rather than from any cartoon. The written Box Contents block holds the pieces to build Optimus Prime, nine interchangeable hands, an Ion Blaster, an Energon Axe, a blast effect, a stand and the instructions. Blokees is not stingy with hands!

Two outlets have the figure shipping with parts that block does not mention, and both of them are right. TFW2005 described the kit on 18 October as coming with a gun, a battle axe and the Matrix, noting in brackets that a Megatron arm is in there and is not pictured; Bleeding Cool repeated the arm this morning as a swappable accessory. Blokees’ own contents photograph, in the same gallery on the same listing, shows both parts. Laid out beside the axe are a grey forearm with a red housing and a peg, a separate black cannon barrel longer than the figure’s leg, a connector, two grommets, and the Matrix as a silver and gold ring around a blue crystal [1].

Blokees official contents photograph for the CC28 kit: the built Optimus Prime beside a long black cannon barrel, a grey forearm with a red housing, an orange Energon Axe, the Matrix as a silver ring around a blue crystal, a red blast effect, eight hands, a rifle, a connector, two grommets and a black display stand.

The grey forearm and the cannon barrel come out of the Skybound run. Bleeding Cool’s summary of the run has Optimus taking up Megatron’s severed arm after their fight and turning the fusion cannon on the forces coming for Earth, and the box art and the promotional poster both show that arm fitted to his left shoulder with the cannon pointing up.

The listing carries both class names. Our 16 October piece could not work out whether the line is Champion Class or Classic Class, because Blokees had printed both names on its own art and Entertainment Earth had the Starscream kit filed under Classic [3]. The box for this one prints CHAMPION CLASS under the Model Kits logo, BigBadToyStore lists both kits as Champion Class and files them in a series facet reading Champion Class (Figures Champion Series), and the promotional poster sitting four frames away in the same gallery runs CLASSIC CLASS across the bottom in display type above a Champion Series badge of its own. The maker is printing both names on one product, so both will keep turning up in search, but only one of them is on the box a buyer ends up holding [2].

There is a second slip on the box. The front panel and the spine both read OPTIMUS PRIME (ENERGRON UNIVERSE) [4].

If the written contents list is the only thing a buyer reads before ordering, they will not know the arm is in the box.

[1] The Box Contents block on the BigBadToyStore listing, which reproduces Blokees’ own copy, reads: pieces to build Optimus Prime, 9 interchangeable hands, Ion Blaster, Energon Axe, blast effect, stand, instructions. The contents photograph in the same gallery adds the grey forearm, the cannon barrel, a connector, two grommets and the Matrix. TFW2005, 18 October: “gun, battle axe and Matrix (he also comes with a Megatron arm, not pictured here)”. Bleeding Cool, 22 October: “an Ion Blaster, an Energon Axe, a blast effect, and a swappable Megatron arm.” TFW2005 was right that the arm is not in the five images it ran; those are Blokees’ key art, not the contents sheet.

[2] TFW2005 files the figure under an 11.5cm LED line. Blokees’ spec for this kit reads 5.71 inches, 14.5cm, so the line descriptor and the product do not agree on height either.

[3] Entertainment Earth listed the companion as the Transformers CC29 Energon Universe Starscream Classic Class Model Kit, item BLK71429, on 15 October. Our 16 October post was reading that listing.

[4] Twice, in display type. The item number printed on the box is 71428, one below the companion Starscream’s 71429.

Updated 22 October 2026. This post first said the Megatron arm and the Matrix were not in the kit’s contents. They are. Blokees’ own contents photograph on the listing shows both, and the paragraphs above have been rewritten to say so.
