A preorder only helps if the buyer can find it. Blokees put two Transformers model kits up at Entertainment Earth on 15 October, both of them estimated to arrive in November, and on both of them the name printed on the official art is not the name sitting in the retailer’s title field.

The cheaper one is listed as the Transformers CC29 Energon Universe Starscream Classic Class Model Kit, item BLK71429, at $27.99, with a live pre-order cart control. The entire description reads: “The Transformers CC29 Energon Universe Starscream Classic Class Model Kit includes effect pieces, interchangeable hands, and a display stand. No paint or glue required for easy assembly.” That is accurate as far as it goes, and it leaves out the tank named on the front of the box.

Blokees’ own packaging art sits among the retailer’s product images, and it prints the product name as STARSCREAM AND H.I.S.S TANK (ENERGON UNIVERSE), under a class line reading CHAMPION CLASS with a DX badge beside it. The same panel carries a 153 piece count, a finished height of 13.4cm or 5.28 inches, and the item number 71429. The shop is selling it under that same number, so listing and box carry the same SKU and two different class names, and only one of them tells you a tank is in there.

So the thing a reader is actually buying for $27.99 is the Decepticon out of Skybound’s Energon Universe books with a Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank packed in beside him, and the parts shot bears that out: the tank in one piece with its tracks and a separate underside assembly, a null ray, two yellow thruster effects, an alternate face, an alternate cockpit canopy, and a set of interchangeable blue hands [1]. It builds as two display pieces or as one, with Starscream riding the tank; Blokees leads its own photography with the combined arrangement.

The Blokees Starscream and H.I.S.S. Tank box beside the built Starscream figure, the black tracked tank, two yellow thruster effect parts, a null ray, an alternate face, an alternate cockpit canopy and a set of interchangeable blue hands.

That crossover is the reason the kit exists. The H.I.S.S. is G.I. Joe hardware sitting in a Transformers box because Skybound has spent two years writing the two properties into one continuity, and we covered where that shared universe stood going into this year.

Blokees printed both class names itself. Its own promotional poster for the kit runs CLASSIC CLASS across the bottom in display type while the badge in that poster’s footer reads CHAMPION, CHAMPION SERIES, so the maker printed both names on one piece of art before any retailer touched it. TFormers used Champion Class in its first two write-ups and Classic Class in the third [2]. This is the second Blokees story we have carried this autumn, after the 2026 Transformers advent calendar in September, and the naming was tidy on that one.

The second kit has the same problem in a cleaner form. Entertainment Earth lists it as the Transformers Shining Version 06 Lethal Coronation Case of 6, item BLK71126A, at $77.99 for November, and Blokees’ key art for that wave reads SHINING VERSION, 06, The Shattered Crown. Nothing on the art says Lethal Coronation and nothing on the listing says The Shattered Crown. Neither name is wrong, but only one of them is in the search box a collector will type.

Blokees key art for Shining Version 06 reading The Shattered Crown, with Emperor Starscream in a gold crown at centre and the planet Cybertron below as a lit sphere with a glowing core.

Shining Version cases are blind boxes, so the case list is the only thing telling a buyer what they might get, and the shop says plainly that it does not have one: “Breakdown not available at this time.” TFormers has published a list off the reveal images, led by Emperor Starscream in a gold crown and a purple cape, with Astrotrain, Blur, a Shattered Glass Starscream, Metroplex, a clear purple Trypticon and the planet Cybertron itself as a lit sphere on a stand with a crack glowing through it [3]. Six individually packaged kits come in a case, duplicates included if the draw falls that way, with chase variants seeded through the production run. Blind boxes have always worked like that.

Neither kit is on BigBadToyStore. A search there for Blokees Energon Universe returns nothing at all, and the Shining line stops at volume five. What that store does have, read this afternoon, is the previous wave: Shining Version Vol.5 Eternal Rivalry, a case of six, in stock at $77.99 with an add to cart button. Entertainment Earth has the same case in stock at the same $77.99, and its item number, BLK71125A, sits one digit below the new one. Volume six carries the same price as volume five. Vol.4 sits at $81.99 and the Shining 1985 case at $82.99, so the line has not drifted upward on this one.

The reveal images went round last week under Champion Class, and the listing that appeared says Classic Class. Search the term on the box and the shop has nothing for you.

[1] TFormers carried in-hand images on 15 October from the collector @NOTRAB, who has the kit in Asia and describes a damaged chest and wings, a musket, a battle-damaged faceplate, a remote control and the tank. Those battle-damage parts are not visible in the parts shot on the retailer listing, so treat that configuration as his and not as a confirmed contents list.

[2] “Transformers Energon Universe Starscream and H.I.S.S. Tank Reveal From Blokees Champion Class” on 14 October, “Blokees Champion Class Energon Universe Starscream and H.I.S.S. Tank In-Hand Images” on 15 October, then “Blokees Transformers CC29 Energon Universe Starscream Classic Class Official Details, Images, & Preorders” later the same day.

[3] TFormers lists the wave as 86 Astrotrain, 86 Blur, 86 Emperor Starscream, 86 Planet Cybertron, 86 Starscream SG, Metroplex / Metrotitan and a clear purple Titans Return Trypticon, and says “so far” rather than presenting it as the full case roster.
