Autobot Shuttle
The wedge-shaped Autobot transport from the opening of the 1986 film, best remembered for what happened to the four Autobots aboard it.

What it actually is
The Autobot shuttle is a large delta-planform craft with a raised cockpit, twin vertical stabilisers and a wide cargo deck, designed for the 1986 animated film by Floro Dery's team and rendered in the flat cream and orange palette the film used for Autobot hardware. It is a purely Cybertronian design with no Earth antecedent, and it exists to solve a narrative problem: the film needed a way to move characters between Earth, Moonbase and Cybertron quickly.
Its fame is entirely a matter of one scene. In the film's opening act, a shuttle carrying Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl and Brawn is boarded by Megatron and the Decepticons, who kill all four on screen inside ninety seconds. It is the most abrupt and most discussed moment in the franchise's history, and it happens because Hasbro needed the 1984 toy line cleared out to make room for 1986 product. A second shuttle carries Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Arcee and the Dinobots later in the film.
There was no G1 toy. The shuttle was animation-only, and remained so for decades: Cybertronian craft had no commercial logic in a line built on repurposed Diaclone vehicle moulds. Its design language, wedge fuselage and orange trim, was later mined heavily by the Studio Series 86 range and by the Titan-class Ark, but the shuttle itself has remained a background object.

Licensing
Nothing to licence. This is an invented vehicle, and that is the whole point of including it here: the shuttle is what a Transformers alt mode looks like when no manufacturer, no toy line heritage and no legal constraint is involved. The design freedom shows, because it is the only large Autobot vehicle in the era whose proportions were not dictated by a transformation scheme. The commercial consequence is the reverse of the licensing story elsewhere: precisely because there was no product tie, there was no toy, and the shuttle survives only as animation.
