Transformers One

The first fully animated theatrical Transformers film in nearly four decades, a CG origin story set entirely on Cybertron.

Before they were enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron were friends named Orion Pax and D-16, two workers without the power to transform. Their discovery of a buried truth about their world sets them on the path to becoming the leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons.

Directed by Toy Story 4’s Josh Cooley, the film returned the saga to animation with a marquee voice cast led by Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry.

Warmly reviewed as a heartfelt origin, it pointed the franchise back toward the animated roots that started it all.
