Pre-orders for Transformers Icons Megatron opened yesterday and the two numbers we did not have in July are now on the listings. Retail is $46.99 and the ship estimate is December 2026.

BigBadToyStore has it as the Transformers Icons Decepticon Megatron Action Figure, pre-order open, Add to Cart live, estimated arrival December 2026. TFW2005 lists the same price across TFSource, Entertainment Earth, Robot Kingdom, The Chosen Prime, Ages Three and Up and Amazon. So this is a wide release, not anyone’s exclusive.

Fall 2026 has quietly become December

Worth flagging, because our July piece on the reveal carried Hasbro’s own line at the time: Fall 2026, pricing to be announced. December is not Fall. It is one month (and we know some of you plan a shelf around a ship window), so we have gone back and dated that post rather than leave it saying the price is unknown.

What Hasbro’s own copy says

The figure is 6.75 inches in robot mode and converts into the Decepticons faction symbol in 27 steps. The box carries that number as a roundel on the front, right beside the 8+ age mark. Hasbro clearly reads the step count as the selling point rather than the warning!

Box contents: the figure, a blaster, a display stand for symbol mode. Hasbro’s own lore note is that the Decepticon badge resembles the face of Megatronus, adopted by Megatron to unite his followers. So a figure that folds into the badge is at least thematically tidy.

Look at the arms in that shot. The blaster mounts on the forearm rather than sitting in a fist. The lower arms finish in wedge-shaped slabs, which are the outer points of the badge folded away. That is the compromise the whole line runs on, and whether you can live with it is the only real question here.

Where it sits against Optimus

This is the companion piece to Icons Optimus Prime, which folds into the Autobots symbol and started the line. Two of these side by side is the intended look. Hasbro’s copy says outright to expect more of them, so our shelves are going to need the space. The Megatron profile has the character history if you want the long version.
