Transformers at SDCC 2026
Hasbro sold two exclusives and held a toy panel, Skybound held a comics panel, and the 1986 film had a concert, a band signing and a new post-credits chapter.
- Hasbro sold two Transformers exclusives at its booth, the Optimus Prime and Autobot Jazz Cereal Box Set at $74.99 and the Jem and the Holograms Autobot Blaster set at $59.99, with limited online quantities to follow. Hasbro Pulse put both in stock for Premium members on August 10 and opened ordering to everyone on August 11 at 1 PM ET, with a ship window of on or around September 1. We read that on August 10 and have not rechecked the stock since.
- Hasbro's Transformers panel ran Friday, July 24, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM PT in Room 25ABC. We have not published a panel recap and have not read Hasbro's own panel post. GameRant reported on July 25 that the panel showed three figures for spring 2027, two Age of the Primes Deluxe Class and one Studio Series Titan Class, and our Monster Jam story records that the panel material quoted about $49.99 for the Amazon-exclusive Leader Class Grave Digger Grim and $24.99 for the two Deluxe converters, due Fall 2026.
- The press breakfast revealed Icons Megatron, a 6.75-inch figure that converts into the Decepticons symbol in 27 steps. Hasbro said Fall 2026 at the show; pre-orders opened September 1 at $46.99 and the listing estimates December 2026.
- Hasbro's SDCC 2026 plans also listed partner booths. threezero (booth 2944) had two purchasable exclusives, the MDLX G2 Heroes Combat Megatron and a DLX Optimus Primal Beast Wars Universe Edition, and Robosen (booth 2629) showed its new Soundwave and Megatron beside the ELITE Optimus Prime with a new Trailer and Bumblebee.
- The Transformers: The Movie Celebration of Life concert played House of Blues San Diego on Thursday, July 23, with Stan Bush, Vince DiCola, Knights of Unicron, Cold Slither and Britta Phillips on the bill. The official Transformers channel posted the full show on August 21.
- On Friday, July 24 attendees at a 4K screening saw the new post-credits chapter attached to the film's September theatrical return. It was named Optimus Prime: Awakening on September 1.
- MESHUGGAH's Tomas Haake and Marten Hagstrom signed on Friday at 3:30 PM at booth 4029, where a limited-edition MESHUGGAH x Transformers shirt by Ken Christiansen was unveiled.
- Skybound's Energon Universe panel was billed for Saturday, July 25, at 4:30 PM in Room 5AB. Comics Beat's write-up, dated July 30, reports that Transformers issue 36 has Thundercracker leaving the Decepticons to join the Autobot combiner Superion.
